CCPRA programme coordinator, Imtiwala Imchen, delivering the welcome address and introductory note, stated that CCPRA strives to enlarge the vision of peace-building through different activities. She also added that “Peace Festival” is one of the important events that focus on witnessing the message of reconciliation and peace- building among the people engulfed with violence, corruption, hatred and conflict. Greetings were conveyed by the senior pastor of SBCZ, Rev. Yevito Zhimo and CTC principal Rev. Dr. Marnungsang. The programme encapsulated the message of peace through enchanting songs, music and liturgical dance by CTC students, special presentations by the youth members of SBCZ. Prayer for peace was pronounced by Rev. Dr. A Tali Ao, Lecturer, CTC. A drama entitled “STOP” was enacted in Nagamese by the CTC students that showcased some of the major issues that hide under the masks of hostility and religiosity of the present Naga society. It attempted to bring to light the evils of patriarchy, tribalism, factionalism, corruption, dishonesty and ignorance, which are slowly creating unrest in the land. The drama challenged the people to “Stop” being complacent and to voice out against such evils.
