CSU reminds HoDs to be present in respective offices

Owing to few HoDs of Phek district ignoring the plea of the Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU) office, the apex tribal students union has once again reminded the erring officers to response to the call to attend the respective offices immediately in view of the preparation for the upcoming 67th general conference of the CSU.Failing to comply with the plea, the concerned HoD will bear the whole responsibilities in any case, according to CSU president Thupukutho Lohe.
The 67th general conference of the CSU will be held from January 20 to 22 at Khuza town to be hosted by ten units of Tizu area under the theme ‘Catalyst for reformation- culture and education’.
Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) speaker Chotisuh Sazo will be the chief guest at the inaugural function while minister for PWD (Roads & Bridges) and Parliamentary Affairs Kuzholuzo Nienu (Azo) will be the guest of honour.
Minister for School Education CM Chang will be the cultural guest while Neposo Theluo, Deputy Commissioner Phek will be introductory guest.
Er Dikhrolo Mero, chief engineer, PWD (R&B) will grace the valedictory function.
Hüsazü Epao, principal, Patkai Christian College will be the resource person.
Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) president Tongpang Ozukum and Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) president Sovenyi will also share solidarity greetings. K Phesao, director school education (HS) will also exhort the gathering.
The conference will be marked by workshop on disaster management, cultural competition, union assembly, presentation of awards etc.
There shall be awards for late Goyiepra Kenye Memorial Award to the HSLC toppers during the academic session 2012-2013, late Niesatsü Khamo Memorial Trophy Award to the folk dance winners and late Zekope Krome Memorial Trophy Award to the folk song (Duet) winner.
