The Chakhesang Service Association Kohima (CSAK) held its 13th general session-cum-picnic on November 23 at 4th NAP Ground Thizama with Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) chairman Kuhupoyo Puro as the chief guest.Speaking on the occasion, Puro challenged the Chakhesang community serving in different establishments to be honest, sincere and loyal to the service.
He also called upon the members of the Association to use its working place as sacred place and sense of longing for office.
CSAK president Neposo Theluo urged upon the Chakhesang workers to be loyal to the government and strive for excellence in their respective position.
On behalf of CSAK, Theluo thanked the state government for bringing Besesayo Kezo, IPS (Meghalaya cadre) to Nagaland and enabling him to become the Director General of Police in the state. He also thanked the state government for having absorbed the services of some senior officers of central services from Chakhesang community- Mesetshulo Mero, commissioner and secretary, Visielie Kezo, OSD (Revenue) and Kevileno OSD (Planning) who were on deputation to the state government and for giving them important position in the government.
He has congratulated all the members who were promoted during 2012-13. Wepretso Mero promoted to the post of secretary, Kewetso Mero, and Wetsope Krome to the post of DIGP, Wepretso Kapfo, IFS to the post of chief conservator of forest, Zaveyi Nyekha to the post of director of school education and Kukusho Phesao to the post of director of school education.
Also congratulating all the members who brought good name to the community by winning awards, Theluo hoped that they will not be complacent with their past achievements but continuously strive for excellence, and others especially low achievers will be inspired and challenged by the success of the award winners.
The new team of CSAK for the tenure 2014-15 was also announced during the session. President- Dr. Vikieye, vice president- Hupasayi Tetseo, general secretary- Razouvolie Dozo, joint secretary Vesuzo Swuro, finance secretary Danyi Dome, treasurer- Chorayi Veyie, social & cultural secretary- Nehusa Nakhro, publicity secretary- Sehuyo Puro, statistical secretary- Khrozulo Mero, women coordinator- Mitalao Letro and Venolu Vewsu.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Kezungupe Tsuha, vice president CSAK. Folk song and special number was presented by Ruzhazho Union Kohima and Vekhozo Kezo and friends respectively.
Treasurer’s report was given by Niesayi Chuzho while vote of thanks was proposed by Velhusalu Naro.
