Dimapur, Sep. 9: The 173 Bn CRPF Airfield, Dimapur conducted a civic action programme to promote peace and build friendship between the security forces and the public at its unit headquarters on Monday, September 9.
As part of the programme, the battalion distributed water storage tanks (Sintex) to 19 needy families in the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Commandant 173 Bn CRPF, Vishnu Gautam stressed on the need to bridge the gap between the security forces and the local populace. He also underlined the need for various activities and programmes which will bring a better understanding between the security forces and the civilians.
Furthermore after the programme, the Battalion also personally transported the sintex at the respective houses of all the 19 families.
