CRPF Football Tournament: FCR Noney edges Manipur Police, TRAU defeats WAFA

IMPHAL — The Football Raengdai Club (FCR) Noney and Tiddim Road Athletic Union (TRAU) Imphal advanced to the next round on the fourth day of the 14th Shaheed Manoranjan Singh Memorial CRPF Football Tournament at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) Sports Complex in Takyelpat, Imphal, on Thursday.

FCR Noney won 1-0 against Manipur Police Sports Club Pangei in the day’s first match, while TRAU defeated WAFA (Wangoi Football Association) 2-0 in the second.

W Herojit Singh scored FCR Noney’s only goal in the 91st minute, while RK Chiranjan and Sovami scored for TRAU in the 70th and 82nd minutes of the match, respectively. 

On Wednesday, Poloi Football Club Chingarel and Anouba Imagi Mangal (AIM) Khabam, both from Imphal East district, defeated their rivals, NFA Porompat and SAI Takyelpat.
