CRPF donates water tanks and sports items to villages

Dimapur, Dec. 8: The 78 Battalion CRPF at Zubza in Kohima district organised a civic action programme on December 6 with full joy and enthusiasm to bridge the gap between the public and security forces i.e CRPF.

The Battalion release said K Vijay Kumar, CRPF IGP of Manipur and Nagaland, distributed items to the chairmen of Zubza and Sechuma villages. It said the chief guest distributed 41 Nos. of water storage tanks in presence of BP Singh, DIGP CRPF Kohima, which was received by Zubza village council chairman Mhasikhotuo Zinyu and the sports items which was received by Sechuma village council chairman Pelevisie.

Neeraj Yadav, Commandant, expressed pleasure in organising the civic action programme in Zubza and intimated that the village councils have been contacted to ensure proper utilisation of funds and distribution of needy items.

The 78 Bn Central Reserve Police Force, since its induction in Nagaland, has been organising such programmes every year and mingled with the civilian public to share their grievances and to provide the least basic amenities. The Commandant further expressed gratitude to the villagers of Sechu Zubza and the neighbouring villages for their cooperation and cordial relationship.

It said the Battalion under the leadership and command of Neeraj Yadav has emerged to be unique in performing the assigned duties with full devotion and dedication, maintaining cordial relationship with locals extending all possible help which is appreciated by the locals.
