CRPF distributes tools, water tanks to Mezoma villagers
DIMAPUR — The 78th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Zubza, on Thursday distributed agricultural tools, including spades with handles, pickaxes, and digging rods (crowbars), to the villagers of Mezoma, Kohima, under its civic action programme at the village council hall.
According to a joint statement issued by the battalion and the Mezoma Village Council, as part of the initiative, W R Josuah, commandant of the battalion and the programme’s chief guest, also distributed water tanks along with the tools in the presence of 78 Bn personnel, village council members, and Mezoma villagers.
Visayiecha Chusi, chairman of the Mezoma Village Council, stated at the event that the water storage tanks will help villagers store water during the dry seasons and that the agricultural tools will improve the farmers’ cultivation efficiency.
He also expressed gratitude to 78 Bn. of the CRPF for extending a helping hand to the village.
