CRPF conducts civic action programmes

Kohima, Feb. 15: Under its civic action programme, the 78 Bn CRPF, Zubza Kohima has constructed a water storage tank with overhead cover and plinth which was inaugurated today at Mezo Basa village, 16 kms away from Kohima. Speaking at the inaugural programme, DIGP CRPF Kohima, Sarbjit Singh said it will continue with its civic action programmes wherever needed and required. Appreciating the noble efforts of the CRPF, he said this will benefit the villagers and assured that more of such programmes will be taken up in the days to come. He expressed hope that the water storage tank will facilitate the villagers and ease their difficulties of fetching water from long distance.Commandant CRPF, Neeraj Yadav said keeping in view of the difficulties faced by the villagers and as requested by them, 78 Bn CRPF, Zubza has constructed the water storage tank to facilitate the people. Through its civic actions programme, Yadav said it want to strengthen the unity, brotherhood, coordination and cooperation between the CRPF and the people of Nagaland. He also said that 78 Bn CRPF is trying to address the grievances and to provide the least basic amenities to the nearby villages too, and assured that it will try to get more funds to cater to the needs of the villagers. Meanwhile as requested by the villagers during the programme, the DIGP Sarbjit Singh has given his word to construct a playground as the village doesn’t have any at the moment. The programme was attended by village chairmen of neighbouring villages and villagers of Mezo Basa. In a related programme, 173 Bn CRPF, under the aegis of Vikram Sahgal, IGP Manipur and Nagaland and supervision of Sarbjit Singh, DIG (Ops) CRPF, Kohima, conducted various civic action 2016-2017 programme in different locations in Dimapur for the welfare of local population. 173 Bn, CRPF under the Commandant Joseph Keishing, renovated the school building and installed Reverse Osmosis (RO) water system for safe drinking water in Diphupar Government Middle School and constructed class room in Government Primary School, Kirha Dimapur. The troops also trained on rearing honey bee through staff of Nagaland Honey Mission Dimapur and also distributed bee keeping/growing box to the trainees for unemployed youths of 6th Mile Model village, Dimapur. The renovated and construction were inaugurated by Sarbjit Singh, DIG (Ops) CRPF, Kohima. In his address, he stressed on the importance of education system and exhorted locals on the importance of giving education at the early stage to the children. Sarbjit Singh, DIG (Ops) CRPF, Kohima distributed the bee box to the unemployed local youths of Model village, Dimapur. 173 Bn, CRPF as an icon of CRPF organization is trying its best to live up to its image of helping the poor and needy and upliftment of the nation. CRPF all over the country have been trying its best to create awareness and improve the education facilities wherein the society will be directly benefitted.
