CRPF and Assam Rifles marked the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign in Dimapur and Peren with flag hoisting, charity visits, a bike rally, and Raksha Bandhan celebrations.

DIMAPUR — The 173 Battalion CRPF at Airfield Dimapur and the Assam Rifles in Jalukie, Peren district, organised programmes under the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign on Thursday.
According to an update, the 173 Bn CRPF deployed at Airfield Dimapur organised a series of functions and activities during the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign starting from August 1.
As part of it, Commandant 173 Bn CRPF, Ashok Kumar Yadav, along with officers and men of the unit, organised the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign at Neighbourhood Children’s Home, Dimapur; Little Miracle Children’s Home, Dimapur; and House of Friendship Old Age Home, Dimapur, on Thursday.
During these functions, the CRPF unit donated rice, dal, and other grocery items to these institutions and distributed sweets. The national flag was presented to the members of these institutions, and it was jointly hoisted at these institutions.

Speaking on the occasion, Yadav said that the best way to celebrate Independence Day is to help the children of orphanages and the elderly people of old age homes and to celebrate the day with them while inculcating the feeling of patriotism in the students of orphanages and the elderly people of old age homes.
Narayan Balai, second-in-command; Ambar Ghosh, deputy commandant; Imtitoshi Jamir, assistant commandant; Khyothungo Ezung, assistant commandant; and Kayio Kayina, assistant commandant, were also present on the occasion.
In Jalukie, the Assam Rifles organised a ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ bike rally, with civilians and prominent and influential personalities joining the rally alongside Assam Rifles personnel.

The rally commenced from Mahainamsti to the Battalion Headquarters, Jalukie, and traversed through various key locations, with participants carrying the Tricolour.
Meanwhile, the force also celebrated Raksha Bandhan with students of Zeliangrong Heraka School at Tening, Peren, with participation from over 150 students who tied rakhis to the personnel of the Assam Rifles.
