CrPC imposed in Tuli over law breach fear

Dimapur, Feb. 12 (EMN): The administration of Tuli subdivision in Mokokchung district has imposed the counter assembly over fears of breach of law and order in said area. As conferred by U/S 144 CrPC the additional district magistrate of Tuli, Rhosietho Nguori, has enforced curfew in the entire town of Tuli. The order prohibits assembly of five or more persons. The order comes into effect for all areas in Tuli with immediate effect. A DPRO report on Monday informed about the development. Magistrates, security personnel and civil officials on government duty have been exempted from the purview of the order. The order shall remain in force till Mar. 5 or till further order, it informed. ‘There is apprehension of breach of normal law and order situation in Tuli town and there are sufficient grounds for taking precautionary measures for prevention of occurrence of any untoward incident in the interest of maintenance of peace and tranquillity in the town,’ the order stated.
