Marking its 25 glorious years of existence, the Cultural Promotion Society under Dapfutsumia Khel of Kohima village has celebrated Sekrenyi cum silver jubilee at D Khel Ground, Kohima village, on February 28. A souvenir of the Society was released by D Khel Council chairman, Kelhouphilie Kire.Cultural performances and folk tunes along with Sekrenyi cum jubilee feast marked the celebrations which was joined by various dignitaries including Minister for PWD (Roads & Bridges) and Parliamentary Affairs Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu, Minister for Youth Resources & Sports Merentoshi R Jamir, Parliamentary Secretary for Power Kipili Sangtam, Parliamentary Secretary for Law & Justice, Land Revenue and Labour & Employment Dr. Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire, Advisor Music Task Force and New & Renewable Energy, Chairman Kohima DPDB and MLA Khriehu Liezietsu, Chief Secretary Banuo Z Jamir.
Several organizations also attended the programme which included Angami Public Organization (APO) president K Neingunyu Sekhose, Kohima Village Council, Kewhimiapfu Mechu Krotho, Kohima Village Youth Organization, Kohima District DB Association, Kohima Village GB Association etc. Cultural dances and songs marked the occasion.
