Dimapur, July 31 (EMN): While welcoming the development project of expanding the road, Chümoukedima unit of the Chakhroma Public Organisation (CPO) reminded the concerned department and its agencies not to over look the safety measures that are prerequisite for the commuters as well as people living along the highway.
The unit expressed pain over the unfortunate incident on July 26 at 7th Mile, Dimapur, which claimed two precious lives. The unit prayed that Almighty God would comfort the bereaved families in their hour of grief and sorrow.
The unit, in a press release issued by its president Rünavilhou Kin, has taken serious note over shifting of blame from one to another after the incident. It warned that such practices could never be accepted nor compromised at any cost.
The unit has appealed to all collaborating departments and its agencies to have proper coordination while executing works at any public places. It further appealed to the concerned department and its agencies to compensate the victims as per the law of land.
