CP Dimapur imposes restriction ahead of President Murmu’s transit journey

DIMAPUR — In view of the scheduled transit journey of the President of India Droupadi Murmu to Dimapur Airport on Jan. 17, the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, has imposed certain restrictions within Dimapur and Chümoukedima districts, on Jan. 17, from 6 am to 8 pm, due to security concern.

Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, Kevithuto Sophie, in an order, restricted and banned use of any kind of remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) like drones; conduct of any kind of firing practice by security forces, civil police, central police, private firing range or any civilian holder of licensed fire arms and, bursting of any kind of firecrackers.

“As the notice cannot be served individually on all concerned, the order is, hereby, passed ex-parte due to security exigency. It shall be published for information of public through press and affixing copies on the notice boards of the offices of all DCPs, ADCPs, ACPs and police stations,” the order stated.
