DIMAPUR — College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry (CoVSAH), Jalukie, a constituent college of Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal, would organise a regional Agri-cum-education fair from December 12 to the14th at NER Agri Expo Site, 4th Mile in Chümoukedima district.
The event would be held on the theme “Northeast India farmers conclave: Igniting agri revolution (Connecting agripreneurs to circular economy).”
The dean of the college informed that the event would be a vital platform for knowledge exchange, industry collaboration, and making FPO/FBO a growth engine in the northeastern region for igniting the agri revolution. The event would feature a diverse range of activities aimed at fostering agricultural development in the region.
The events would include FPO/FBO summit, investors meet, incubation, buyers and sellers meet, ideation, exhibition, dog show, horticulture and fruits show and students engagement conclave.
“With the expected attendance of more than 1000 farmers from the NER, 100 student delegates and over 90 stalls, the CAU-regional Agri-cum-education fair 2023-24 is poised to be a monumental gathering,” it stated.
It informed that eminent experts, scientists, and faculties from across the country in the agriculture and allied sectors would attend the occasion. It added that the conclave would also create a vision document to empower farmers and youth to join the revolution and bring about changes in their respective towns and villages in NER.
In addition, the conclave would be part of the process of creating a vision document and road map for the agri revolution in NER of India during the Amrit Kaal (2047).
Meanwhile, it has invited all stakeholders, enthusiasts and farmers to join in the transformative journey.
