Dimapur, June 22 (EMN): A 70-bedded Covid care centre (CC) was inaugurated at Mon on Tuesday in the presence of the deputy commissioner of Mon, Thavaseelan K, SDO (C) Mon Lithrila Sangtam, deputy CMO Mon Dr. Rongsennungla, CCC management committee members and others.
The CCC was funded by Foundation for Ecological Security and Naga American Foundation, facilitated by Mon district administration and Eleutheros Christian Society (ECS) and being jointly managed by Mon district administration, police, medical department, churches and civil societies of Mon.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, the DC expressed gratitude to all the agencies, who have funded and facilitated the CCC particularly the Eleutheros Christian Society, Tuensang, and other stakeholders for their timely help and intervention during this ongoing pandemic.
It informed that the CCC would be jointly managed by CCC management committee and the medical department for the next two months and be further extended as per the Covid status of the district. The CCC was dedicated with a prayer by Youngrichum Sangtam, pastor of Sangtam Baptist Lithro, Mon, and chairman of All Mon Town Pastors’ Association (AMTPA).
