Dimapur, April 12 (EMN): In an attempt to effectively control the spread of Covid-19 and facilitate those eligible for the vaccine, a temporary Covid Vaccine Centre (CVC) was set up at the Nagaland Civil Secretariat on Monday by the department of Health and Family Welfare in co-ordination with the Home department.

The CVC will function at the VIP Waiting Room in the Central Block of the Secretariat and will be open daily from 9:30 am to 4 pm, according to an update by DIPR.

“All the officers and staff who are above 45 years of age, working in the Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima, and not yet taken the Covid-19 vaccine, have been requested to avail themselves of the opportunity to get vaccinated at the CVC, Nagaland Civil Secretariat,” read the press release.

The eligible persons can register for vaccination by producing their contact numbers and one of the following documents (in original): government identity card, driving license, pass port, pan card, voter identity card, and aadhaar card.

They have also been advised to continue following Covid-appropriate behaviour like wearing of mask, maintaining social distancing, regular washing of hands, etc. even after vaccination.
