Dimapur, May 7 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 309 new Covid-19 positive cases on Friday, taking the state’s tally to 15,580.
The minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, updated that out of the 309 new cases detected in the last 24 hours, 200 were in Dimapur, 63 in Kohima, 32 in Mon, nine in Mokokchung, three in Phek and two in Zunheboto.
He added that one patient died and a total of 112 patients – 102 in Dimapur, nine in Kohima, and one in Peren -- recovered during the same period.
According to the Health and Family Welfare Department update, the state currently has 2433 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 2179 are asymptomatic, 155 mild, 28 moderate on oxygen, 55 severe on oxygen, 13 critical-ICU with oxygen and three critical-ICU on ventilator.
The state also registered 12,540 recoveries and 112 deaths, out of which 10 have been ruled “not Covid-related”.
In regard to district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur has 1,633, Kohima - 616, Mon - 63, Mokokchung - 45, Tuensang - 29, Longleng - 15, Zunheboto - 11, Peren – 7, Phek - 7, Kiphire – 4 and Wokha - 3,
