Kohima, Sep. 1 (EMN): The Phek district administration and DLCW- Mahila Shakti Kendra, (Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao-BBBP), Phek in collaboration with the Chakhesang Students Union is organising an online debate on the topic "Covid-19 a bane to humanity," on the occasion of International Literacy Day on September 8.
A notification issued on Monday, informed that the registration for entry is open to all the indigenous inhabitants of Phek district for the age group of 18-30 years.
All entries must furnish name, profession, contact number, age, address and email address for communication. Participants have to submit a short essay on the merits and demerits of the topic with a word limit not less than 120 words and not more than 150 words, it informed.
It was also informed that there will be an initial selection process and after screening, shortlisted candidates will be intimidated through phone calls for necessary information related to the debate.
A total of eight shortlisted participants will be invited for the finale through Google meet on September 8 at 11 am.
Winner of the competition will receive INR 5000 along with a certificate, while the first and second runners-up will get INR 3000 and INR 2000 along with the certificate respectively.
