Dimapur, Feb. 27 (EMN): Alemtemshi Jamir, CEO of Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN), called upon the corporates of all the North eastern states to give back to society in a focused manner to create positive impact in improving the lives of the people as well as conserve and protect the environment.
Speaking as the chief guest during the one-day workshop of the Northeast Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) forum held at the Taj Vivanta, Guwahati, on February 26, Jamir reminded the gathering that economic inequalities have led to social injustice. He stated that corporates driven by profit has caused large scale catastrophe and “for which nature will never forgive us.”
The forum was hosted by the Dalmia Foundation with the participation from all the North eastern states.
During the programme, CSR heads of many corporates deliberated on the challenges of implementing CSR in the Northeast with a view to improve the position in the coming years.
