Dimapur, November 21: Cornerstone Community ChurchDimapur building was dedicated by Dr. Yang Tuck Loong and blessed by Rev. Tim O’ Connell on November 20. The church also conducted the commissioning service program. The speaker, Dr. Yang Tuck Loong in his speech stressedon‘one language’ to bring the people together from all shades of life. He said Nagaland has many languages and recommended on taking up a common language which can benefit the general public. He informed that the new Church is based on English service and Nagamese service will also be conductedsoon. Dr. Loong urged Naga Christians to build God’s kingdom rather than narrow down to build one’s own tribal or denominational kingdoms. Stating that Christ is for every nation, he called upon Nagas to reach every unevangelised person with the gospel as the ambassadors of Christ. He also advised the people not to pray with wrong motive which is against the divine will and purpose of God. He also spoke about the importance of three handles to receive blessings in the church, referringto bible passage, Psalms 133; Relationship with God & people, unity among the believers and forgiveness from God and to forgive those who trespass us.S.K.Kenye, Retd director of Geology and Mining, said the Christians are not safe anymore in India after BJP ruling government took the power though India is a democratic country. During the program, 9 students were commissioned and two field evangelists were given ministry license based on their work performance. The programme was chaired by Rev. Dr Suluveyi Rhakho, special song was presented by Logos College Dimapur, and voice of praise was sung by Harvest Ministry Students.
