Dimapur, Dec. 13 (EMN): Secretary of Cooperation, Lithrongla G Chishi, has launched the much awaited “CoopSoft”- cooperative information management application on December 13 in the office of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Kohima, in the presence of the department officials and staff.

The software application CoopSoft was developed by Teth Allied Services, Nagaland, to meet the MIS requirements of the department. According to DIPR report, the key features of the CoopSoft included holistic information of cooperative societies at a single click of button; updated information on loan, recovery and audit of cooperatives; automated information on outstanding loans; production details of the cooperative societies; integrated SMS gateway; quick access to employee details etc.

While lauding the department for the development of the software, the secretary exhorted the department to continue the positive actions that the department has initiated during the last one year especially on loans recovery, cancellation of non-working cooperative societies, development of genuine member cooperatives etc.

She also opined that the newly recently launched CoopSoft would propel the department in moving ahead at a faster rate and added that such IT applications should also be replicated for other departments.

The programme was chaired by Wepe Ritse, Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Nagaland.
