Dimapur, May 27 (EMN): The Lotha Middle Range Students’ Union (LMRSU) on Friday said that the M/S Northeast Enterprise has responded to its 7-day ultimatum served earlier this week over the delay in construction of road from Sanis Zero Point to Lakhuti village under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) II.
The concerned contractors are said to have told the student body that “the work was delayed due to some internal hiccup particularly with a proposal for change in the technology and the implementation of the soil stabilisation”.
It added that the matter has been sorted out and assured to commence the work by first week of June and complete it as scheduled, which is September 2022. The mobilisation of the required machineries for the project is under process, the LMRSU was told.
The student body lauded M/S Northeast Enterprise and the contractors for their positive response, expressing hope that the project will be completed on time as specified in the detailed project report (DPR). It also assured to extend all support to the contractors.
The LMRSU went on to say that ‘the contractors have also sought co-operation from all the stakeholders for timely completion of the project’.
