Contesting election to serve people — Temjenmenba
Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) candidate for 29 Jangpetkong Assembly Constituency, Temjenmenba, held his candidature declaration programme at Khar village on Monday.
Temjenmenba in his speech said that he is running for the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly out of a desire to serve the people rather than as a politician.
If elected by the electorates, the NDPP candidate stated development and funding would be his responsibility, and implementation should be a collective work for all stakeholders.
He also envisions a permanent fund resource for the village councils under the constituency.
He urged the electorates to conduct a free and fair election and set an example for the rest of the state by saying, “Vote for the best candidate.”
Khar Village Council and Changki Village Council officials also spoke at the declaration programme.
It may be noted that the 29 Jangpetkong A/C is in a three-way race between Temjenmenba of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), Imjongwati Longkumer of the Naga Peoples’ Front (NPF), and Longrineken of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) LJP (RV) for a seat in the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly.
