Construction of 4/6 laning Dimapur Bypass as per schedule — NHIDCL
DIMAPUR — The construction of 4/6 laning of Daboka Dimapur Section (Dimapur Bypass), from 132.375 km to 153.058 km (total new alignment length of 20.683 km), of NH-36 and 39 in Nagaland is likely to be completed as per schedule by August 31, 2023.
The construction undertaken on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis by the National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (NHIDCL) under the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH), which is scheduled to be completed by August 31, 2023, is underway and likely to be completed on time, the NHIDCL stated in an update on Sunday.
As per the NHIDCL project status update, the 20.683 km length of Daboka Dimapur Section (Dimapur Bypass) of NH-36 and 39, which is being constructed under the Special Accelerated Road Development Programme (SARDP) scheme, has made a physical progress of 99.32%.
The sanctioned cost is INR 688.12 crore and INR 391.86 crore has been awarded, while the financial progress stood at 97.98%, the NHIDCL maintained. The project was awarded on March 28, 2017, the appointed or start date was September 5, 2017 and the original date of completion was September 4, 2020. After a delay of three years, the project is now likely to be completed by August 31.
