Demise of Joseph Sumi

Neiphiu Rio: Nagaland Chief Minister has expressed shock at the demise of Joseph Sumi, vice president of Nagaland Football Association (NFA) and president of Dimapur District Football Association (DDFA), who passed away on Monday morning in Dimapur.

“Mr. Joseph Sumi was a well known personality and he contributed his best for the development and improvement of sports, particularly football. The news of his untimely demise has come as a great shock to one and all,” said Rio in a statement.

“In this hour of grief, I on behalf of the entire Olympic and sports fraternity of Nagaland convey our hearty condolences to the members of the bereaved family and the football associations,” he added while praying that the departed soul rest in eternal peace.

TR Zeliang: The Leader of the Opposition in Nagaland Assembly has expressed deep pain and sorrow over the demise of Joseph Sumi and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family members.

“His outstanding talent in the field of Football is praise-worthy and losing such a personality is a great loss to all Sports-lovers and the Naga people in general,” he said in a statement. “During this time of grief and sorrow, I pray that God grant peace and solace to all the bereaved family members, relatives, friends, colleagues and all his near and dear ones. May the departed soul rest in eternal peace,” added the statement.

Temjen Imna Along: The Minister of Higher and Technical Education and State BJP President has expressed sadness over the untimely demise of Joseph Sumi.

“Lt. Joseph was a fine gentleman who was committed and sincere towards his assigned task, and in his passing, the State BJP has indeed lost a fine loyal party man,” he said in a statement, adding: “I convey my heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family, and pray that the dearly departed soul rest in eternal peace.”

Demise of Kedutsho Kronu

Y Patton: The BLP leader and deputy chief minister of Nagaland has expressed grief and sorrow over the untimely demise of Kedutsho Kronu, younger brother of Neiba Kronu, Minister for Planning, co-operation & Land Revenue who passed away at Ayush Sundra Hospital, Guwahati on July 8.

“The Dy CM on behalf of all the BJP legislators, Nagaland conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and pray that the departed soul rest in eternal peace,” read the statement.

Temjen Imna Along: The Minister of Higher and Technical Education and State BJP President has expressed sadness at the demise of Kedutsho Kronu from Kami village under 16th Pfusero Constituency of Pfusero town.

“He was a dedicated and sincere government servant. He left behind his wife, four daughters and a son for his heavenly abode,” read the statement from the minister. “I sincerely express my deepest condolence to the bereaved family members. May our almighty God grant solace, comfort and peace of mind during this moment of sorrow and grief,” it added.
