Dimapur, Sep. 2 (EMN): An organisation called the Kololau Yemishe Ghami Kughakulu (KYGK) in Dimapur has demanded that the Dimapur police authorities take action in regard to the killing of a Toishe Yeptho, said to be a member of the KYGK. The KYGK stated that the person was shot dead in front of his wife, children, mother and family members on August 16 “by miscreants.”
‘While appreciating your dynamic effort in napping the criminals, involved in the August 16 killing, the undersigned implore your benign authority to book the absconding culprits at the earliest and put them to trial,’ the representation stated.

The organisation issued to the local media on September 2 a copy of a representation addressed to the ‘commissioner’ of Dimapur police.

The assailants even tried to kill the wife of the deceased but fortunately they failed to do so, the representation stated.

The organisation also demanded that when the assailants are arrested, they are not to be released on bail under any circumstance till befitting punishment is awarded to them.

If the accused are released on bail, the organisation will not be held responsible for any untoward incident, the representation warned.

The representation stated that the KYGK had issued a communiqué that was published in the local media on August 27 2019, which demanded that the culprits involved in the crime should be ‘terminated if they belong to any faction.’
‘Consequently, it came to our knowledge that the culprits belonged to NSCN (R) faction and to enable the law enforcing agency to take legal course of action in a fair manner, the NSCN(R) leadership terminated its erring official namely Khekato Kinimi defence kilonser cum UTI supervisor and Chungshi Longkumar deputy kilonser after finding out their involvement in the August 16 killing,’ the organisation stated.
