Commodore Vivek motivates NU students to join Indian Navy

DIMAPUR — The School of Engineering and Technology, Nagaland University, hosted a talk on ‘Indian Navy as a career choice’ in collaboration with the Indian Navy at the conference hall of the School of Engineering and Technology, Nagaland University, Dimapur campus, on Monday.

The talk was organised for final-year students, and there were 50 participants, according to a press release.

On the occasion, the speaker, Commodore Vivek I Hotti, emphasised the importance of the Indian Navy by stating that 90% of India’s trade by volume and 70% by value moves by sea and added that India’s exclusive economic zone (ocean area) is over two million square kilometres.

He mentioned that aspirants can join the Indian Navy’s executive, marine engineering, electrical engineering, education, and medical branches. He also discussed the benefits of joining the Indian Navy through the Agnipath scheme and encouraged students to join the Indian Navy.
