Committee for verification of villages

DIMPAUR, AUGUST 22: State government has constituted a committee to physically verify and submit the report for recognition of 41 villages in the districts of Kohima, Dimapur, Peren, Wokha, Kiphire, Phek, Mokokchung, Longleng, Mon and Tuensang. The Committee would be headed by the following senior officials in the secretariat including Senti Ao, Secretary of DUDA for Longleng, Mon and Wokha districts; Vikeyie Kenya, Secretary of Works & Housing for Dimapur, Peren and Tuensang districts; T Mhabemo Yanthan, Additional Secretary of Fisheries for Kiphire and Phek districts; and Sarah R Ritse, Additional Secretary of School Education for Kohima and Mokokchung districts. The Deputy Commissioners of the district would be co-convener, while the members would include District Agriculture Officer, Divisional Forest Officer, Project Officer DRDA, Assistant Election Officer, and District Land Record & Survey Officer. According to a notification issued by the Home Department, the Committee so constituted for each District should cause survey in detail and submit the report with accompanying documents, including the household-wise list of persons with their electoral details and the map showing area and boundaries clearly.
