‘Colored Keys’ launched

A group of four individuals with distinctive musical talents have jumped the bandwagon of the musical industry. Called the ‘Colored Keys’, the quartet comprise Kehodi Yoho, Kenei Mepfhuo, Kehepe Letro, Neikuo Khezhie.
The band and their original single ‘Always love you’ was officially launched by Nituo Tsuzu, Owner of the Mountain Music group. An eclectic mix of gathering witnessed the launch at the Furtados Music Store, here in Dimapur on Friday.
Wishing the band members a very bright future, Nituo hoped that they would use their God-given talent to bring goodness and to touch lives. “May you be a band with a difference, and not only grow as musicians but as responsible individuals and make our people proud,” she stated.
The quartet’s musical experience dates back a decade and they have been associated with different renowned bands and groups before the merger. The band’s repertoire varies from Pop, Rock, and Ballet with Semi Classical being their Forte. The quartet seeks to promote decent and good influential music to the society.
Bethel Tsuzu, Co-owner, Mountain Music, speaking during the launch stated that music has always been one constant medium of expression. “We have embraced music in its entirety to let it become an important part of our daily lives,” she said. “And with the immense talent that God has gifted the Nagas, our musical journey over the years is finally evolving and taking shape into a recognised industry,” Bethel added.
“Colored Keys, as their name goes, is a delicious bunch of voices to play for,” Bethel said, introducing the band. “The colour that each voice brings to the group blends in to create a rich harmony of sound that is a bliss to listen to,” she quipped.
“Today Mountain Music is very proud to share with you our part played in this journey,” Bethel said and added, “Mountain Music strives to be a vibrant hub where art and music teachers and lovers and connoisseurs gather to share and explore the world of music and art.” Mountain Music group started in 2010 and comprises Mountain Music Academy and Furtados Music Store. Their academy imparts lessons in piano, violin, guitar, voice, drums, theory and dance.
Earlier, Alobo Naga, Vizo Thakhro and Azeena Kahmei each performed special numbers. Students of Mountain Music Academy also performed a Violin Instrumental. The Colored Keys also performed their original ‘Always love you’ and a rendition of Christina Perry’s ‘A Thousand Years’ among others. Rev. Vilodi Sakhrie, Pastor, Town Baptist Church, said a special prayer for the band.
