Dimapur, June 21 (EMN): Agri-Electrical–Forest (AEF) council, Kohima, under Ward No. 17 has directed all the sub-councils to maintain peaceful co-existence and cleanliness by complying and implementing the directives of the district administration, KMC and police for a better living of all.
In a press release, the council chairman NZ Makritsu stated that sale of liquor in the colony would be strictly prohibited as it is harmful to health, brings immorality and sometimes disturbs the peaceful co-existence. He has requested all the sub-councils to check and take necessary action against the defaulters in their respective jurisdiction.
As traffic congestion has become problematic due to wrong parking of vehicles, dumping of condemned vehicles and construction materials on the roadside, the council has directed the sub-councils to check and take necessary action against the defaulters.
Also having observed that some youth have the habit of gathering in the junction at night, it has directed the sub-councils to check and take necessary steps to stop such gathering at night.
The council also directed all sub-councils not to allow shopkeepers open their shop on Sundays in their respective jurisdiction. All the sub-councils in AEF council, Kohima, under Ward No. 17 are requested to comply and implement the above mentioned directives on or before July 5.
