Dimapur, Dec. 5 (EMN): Dimapur administration has shortlisted 10 colonies for the cleanest colony competition initiated by Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC).
The shortlisted colonies are NST colony, Niu colony, Lengrijan, Riverbelt colony, Kevijau, Sematila, Metha colony, United North Block, Imkonglenden and Viola colony.
The selection was done based on the criteria of garbage management, drainage management, stagnant water, road maintenance, sanitation, community participation and over all improvement made by the colonies over the months.
The winners for 2018 will be declared based on surprise checking of the ten finalists. This was stated in a joint statement issued by Tsenthungo Lotha, president DUCCF and member secretary, and Nyempo Wallim, SDO (C) and convenor.
