Dimapur, May 16 (EMN): With the completion of yearly academic session, various colleges in Nagaland organised parting socials in honour of the outgoing students. The parting social events were organised to acknowledge their contributions and to wish them success as they embark on a new journey in life.
Immanuel College: Immanuel College organised a parting social programme for the outgoing students on May 10 at the college auditorium. Coinciding with the event, the college annual magazine “ACRIIM” was also released by the principal, Th. Sharatchandra Singh.
A prayer for the outgoing students was said by the assistant professor of Education, Paukizonne Mariam, while speech was delivered the assistant professor of History, D Sophia Besa. In her speech, Besa emphasised on dignity of labour and to be kind and to treat everyone equally.
Many outgoing students shared their bitter- sweet memories as well as words of gratitude to the college.
FAC: Fazl Ali College (FAC) in Mokokchung organised its 61st parting social for the outgoing BA and B. SC 6th semester students on May 10 at the college auditorium on the theme “Longraseta Penzür” (Wistful Reminiscing).
Speaking on the occasion, the college principal, Dr. Temjenwabang, encouraged the students to live upto the expectations of being a graduate from an ‘A Grade’ college and wished them a bright future.
Lanutangit, FACSU general secretary, has expressed gratitude to the outgoing senior students for being their mentors and encouraged them to overcome challenges with skills and knowledge gained from the college, while speech on behalf of the outgoing students was delivered by Merensunep.
A total of 230 BA students and 57 B.Sc students of the 2019 batch have graduated from the college.
Model Christian College: Model Christian College observed its 16th parting social on May 11 at the college auditorium on the theme ‘Mar Sin Leat.’
Speaking on the occasion, the college principal, Dr. Luke Rymbai, encouraged the graduating students to be responsible. He said, “Responsibility involves the ability to make decisions that serve our interests and that of others.”
On the occasion, Moangtula Jamir of BA 6th semester from the department of Political Science was conferred the ‘Best Student Award.’ Three students were also awarded with certificates for 100% attendance.
