College of VS&AH Jalukie observes World Veterinary Day

DIMAPUR — College of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry (VS&AH), Jalukie, Peren district, observed World Veterinary Day on Saturday at the college on the theme ‘Promoting diversity, equity and inclusiveness in the veterinary profession.’

The event, marked by debate and collage-making competition, was attended by the faculty members, staff and students of the college, an update stated.

Dean, College of VS&AH, Dr. I Shakuntala, who presided over the programme, spoke on the importance of veterinarians in the society and also emphasised on the role of veterinarians in the community as well as the country.

Professor and head, Department of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Gunjan Das, who anchored the programme, highlighted on the theme of the World Veterinary Day. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Tukheswar, Assistant Professor, Department of Veterinary Gynaecology and Obstetrics.
