Dimapur, Feb. 13 (EMN): The Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) on Sunday urged the Engineer-in- Chief PWD(R&B), government of Nagaland not to award contract work to contractors or firms who bid below the SOR for the Foothill Road in order to maintain good quality.

A statement from CNTC said that ‘entertaining abnormal rates from contractors or firms should be avoided so that reliable and judicious execution of quality works will be carried out’.

“Standard specifications and proper code of ethics must be followed at any cost as adherence to standard process and practices in addition to usage of advance equipment and technology by firms with sound financial and technical knowledge will benefit the whole state and will boost our economy,” it read.
