The statement read: “The CNTC reminded the legislators from the CNTC tribes to recall their assurance given at the august meeting last year at the same place where the legislators had ensured to bring out some solution at the earliest on the numerous issues beleaguering the three districts such as Khelhoshe Polytechnic Asukhuto, Nagaland University Lumami Campus, the abandoned Foothill Road and the cessation of work of the Doyang bridge at Liphayan Governor’s camp, Bokajan- Merapani highway taken up the NHIDC and the defunct Tuli Paper Mill.”
The CNTC has appealed to the legislators to address the grievances “with all promptness and sincerity and to keep their word.”
The organisation informed that it had resolved to form fact-finding teams from the tribal ‘hohos’ and to bring out a report on said matters. The organisation will approach the government to find a solution at the earliest for the betterment of the three districts “which have been plagued by infrastructural problems, mismanagement, financial crunch and lackadaisical attitude of the government,” the CNTC added.
