Dimapur, Sep. 26 (EMN): The Central Nagaland Tribes Council has lauded the Govt. of India for inviting the Working Group of the 6 Nana National Political Groups proving the government’s seriousness to expedite the peace talks in finding a ‘lasting and a honourable solution’ on the ‘protracted’ Naga political issue.
A press release from the council of the three central tribes of the state namely Ao, Lotha and Sumi appreciated the Interlocutor of the Indo-Naga talks, R.N. Ravi on hearing the pleas made by the “Nagaland Tribes Council, Nagaland GB Federation and the different tribal hohos” who made “fervent appeals to include all groups in the ongoing talks without which all talks will prove to be a futile as in the past”.
The council also stated that the government under able leadership of the prime minister has shown sincereity in trying to solve the issue.
“The GOI under the able leadership of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shown an extraordinary statesmanship and sincerity in trying to solve this long issue who understood that when it is one goal and aspiration why some should be left out,” it stated.
The CNTC also appreciated the Nagaland Baptist Churches’ Council for their fervent prayers that made this “achievement thus far”.
It further that through this step a new era will dawn in and the long unfulfilled aspirations of the Nagas may be fulfilled.
