An update from CNSA stated that the purpose of the mission was mainly to check the attendance of government school teachers, verify delivery of school uniforms and textbooks to the students and to check if mid-day meals. In this regard, CNSA urged the concerned department and teachers to cooperate with the team.

CNSA decided to undertake the mission after having learned of certain discrepancies in the normal functioning of schools such as non availability/ shortage of textbooks, school uniforms and irregularities of teachers etc. To ensure success of the mission, CNSA assured to remain vigilance within its jurisdiction particularly in Dimapur, Wokha, Mokokchung and Zunheboto along with its units, the Lotha Students’ Union (LSU), All Sumi Students’ Union (SKK) and Ao Students’ Conference (AKM).
