Dimapur, Nov. 24 (EMN): The Council of Nagalim Churches (CNC) has announced to hold a three-day national fasting and prayer programme from November 27 to the 29th for a final solution to the Indo-Naga political issue at the earliest.
In this regard, CNC notified all the regions, units, battalions and brigade churches under its organisation as well as appealed to all the denominational churches, prayer groups, prayer warriors and all the responsible Christians in Nagalim and abroad to seriously observe the three-day fasting and prayer for a final solution to the Indo-Naga political issue at the earliest and avoid an unwanted situation that might arise due to indefinite delay.
A CNC statement issued by its general secretary Ikato Chishi Swu has appealed to pray to the holy spirit to convince the hearts and minds of the Naga people especially the leaders so that they might genuinely confess, repent, completely surrender and commit their lives to the will and purpose of God.
It appealed to pray for all the church leaders in Nagalim to let them be filled with the holy spirit so that they could provide spiritual guidance to the people and ignite spiritual revival in Nagalim.
It also appealed to pray so that God would destroy all the evil forces working in Nagalim and in India that are confusing the people and influencing the leaders to delay the final solution to the Indo-Naga political issue.
CNC also appealed to pray so that the Naga leaders and people might not fall into the trap and temptation of the ‘enemy’ and delay the final solution.
It further appealed to pray for unity and genuine reconciliation based on truth and the historical and political rights of the Nagas so that permanent peace could be ushered in at the earliest.
