CMO Peren holds review meeting

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 6: Chief Medical Office (CMO), Peren district under the chairmanship of Dr. Ngangshimeren, CMO held district review meeting on November 3 at CMO Conference Hall. During the meeting, CMOpointed out on the regularity of the staff and requested the staff to be in their place of posting for better service delivery. He informed about the Common Review Mission visit to Nagaland from November 4 to 11. He also reminded the gathering about the Order issued by the Directorate to the Community Health Center and Primary Health Center regarding laundry services. Dr. Khrielasanuo, DPO RCH/UIP voiced out regarding the HMIS reports. She clarified certain points that need to be crossed check in the reporting format such as VHND session plan and session held, TT dose and Ante Natal care that should tally. She told the participants whether it is Skilled Birth Attendant or not, Post Natal Care services should be given to the patient. She also expressed that immunization report was not good and needs improvement, and added that most of the health units did not achievethe target. Further she informed that Haemoglobin test is mandatory for all Ante Natal Care check up. Deputy CMO Dr. Tiala, also gave a review on HMIS performance report for the month of September. She highlighted the names of the Health units who were not performing and pointed out the areas where there is need for improvement. She urged the health workers to be sincere and responsible. She also requested medical officers to cross check the reports before submitting and while signing. She also informed and highlighted about Non Communicable Diseases- under National Programme for Prevention and Control of Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke (NPCDCS). She said to focus on cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, high blood pressure, chronic respiratory disorder and cancer which are linked to common risk factors, mainly from lifestyle related factors, such as use of tobacco, alcohol, unhealthy diet and physical inactivity. Further, she informed that Healthy Lifestyle Camp will be held on November16 at Athibung PHC and requested the concerned staff to coordinate for the success of the program. Dr. Imnuksungba, Epidemilogist IDSP Peren, gave power point presentation on Rabies awareness campaign. The meeting was attended by the district programme officers, medical officers and health workers from the health centers, district and Block Program Management (BPM) unit Staff, NHM.
