[dropcap]E[/dropcap]xtending its support to the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) on Illegal Bengladeshi Immigrants (IBI) issue, the Chakhesang Mothers’ Association (CMA) in its executive meeting held on February 27 at Pfutsero, firmly resolved to pursue on banning of its womenfolk to marry IBI persons, where it strongly appeals the entire Chakhesang womenfolk to cooperate with Association for the larger interest of the community.
A press note jointly appended by CMA President Zaposhelu Venuh and general secretary Kuthoshelu Vasa, stated that the future of the Nagas left at stake following the IBIs dominating the Nagas at all fronts, where Nagas need to introspect their own identity and thereby be engaged in all forms of manual works so as to avoid inflow of IBI persons in the land.Expressing its resentment over the tremendous inflow of IFML in the state, the CMA urged upon the competent authority to seriously review in this regard. It added, Nagaland being a dry state makes liquor available in all corners while consumption rate is much higher than that of the wet state. The NGOs in the state opposing the lifting of the total prohibition act should wake up from the slumber and in consulting with the competent authority to initiate practical implementation so as to wipe out the inflow at the earliest before the youngsters’ future is vanished. It also appealed to the entire prayer warriors to pray for the same.
