CM to grace World Bamboo Day for Northeast India

Dimapur, Sep. 16 (EMN): Chief Minister, TR Zeliang will be gracing the World Bamboo Day celebration (North East India) as chief guest on Sep.18 and the 19th at the Nagaland Bamboo Resource Centre, Dimapur. Secretary Ministry of DoNER, Naveen Verma will be the guest of honour.The event will be observed under the theme “A natural celebration.” Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency (NBDA) has informed that the World Bamboo Day will be commemorated to create awareness on the significance of bamboo as an important natural resource for the socio-economic development of the region. The celebration will include technical summit on bamboo with the Ministry of DoNER, inaugural session, exhibition and sale of bamboo crafts from all the North Eastern State, visit to various units in Nagaland Bamboo Resource Centre and Bamboo plantation ceremony. NBDA has invited all to join the celebrations from 9 a.m. onwards.
