DIMAPUR — Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and the Naga People's Front (NPF) have condoled the demise of Khekuto Jakha, vice president (Central NPF) who passed away on Monday in Dimapur.
In a condolence message, the chief minister described Jakha as a humble, cheerful, and kind-hearted person.
“He was personally known to me, and we had worked together through various situations. He will be dearly remembered for his dedication, sincerity, commitment, and integrity.
“Losing a loved one is never easy, but I hope the family finds comfort in the moments they shared with him and strength in knowing that he led a life of purpose and dignity,” Rio stated.
He also stated that Jakha’s demise has created a void that will be difficult to fill, “and it is a great loss to the NPF party in particular and the Sumi community in general.”
In a separate message, the NPF stated that Jakha was a veteran leader whose unwavering dedication, tireless service, and immense contributions have left an indelible mark on the party and the people. “His commitment to the ideals of the Naga People's Front and his steadfast leadership will always be remembered with great respect and gratitude. Throughout his life, he stood as a pillar of strength, guiding the party with wisdom, integrity, and a deep sense of responsibility,” the message read.
