INR 20 lakh financial assistance announced for the affected families from Chief Minister Relief Fund

Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Tuesday visited the Mao Market fire incident site in Kohima and took stock of information and measures taken by the Fire & Emergency Services and district administration.

The Chief Minister also met the affected families whose shops and residences were burnt down in the massive fire that broke out on February 27 evening, a DIPR report stated.

The Chief Minister provided INR 20 lakh from Chief Minister Relief Fund as financial assistance to the affected families who were victims of the unfortunate incident. 

Neiphiu Rio was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, Shanavas C, Superintendent of Police, Kohima, Imnalensa, Kohima Village T Khel Council members and other government officials.
