Dimapur, April 29 (EMN): Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Thursday encouraged the personnel of 11th NAP (IR) to continue to be sincere in their duty and protect the public.
He inaugurated the 11th NAP (IR) Battalion Headquarters at Aboi in the presence of Deputy CM Y Patton, legislators Eshak and CL John, and EE Pangteang and Thongwang, according to an update by DIPR.
Rio expressed happiness over the completion of the building after its foundation stone was laid in 2005. He said that 11th NAP (IR) has a good name and fame, not only within the state but also in other states and encouraged them to maintain it.
He requested the DGP and the unit commandant of the battalion at Aboi to plant variety of trees in and around their camp and stay healthy. He also called upon the public and the neighbouring villages to co-operate with the jawans and have mutual understanding for peace and unity in the society.
The CM also urged the public to follow all SOP and take Covid vaccine, saying that that “the second wave is more dangerous”.
Patton lamented at the delay in inauguration of the project due to various reasons but expressed happiness on successful completion. He also thanked the land owner for donating the land.
