GOC 3 Corps reviews security situation

Dimapur, March 26 (EMN): General Officer Commanding of 3 Corps, Lt. Gen. Anil Chauhan, made two-day visit to the State capital Kohima on March 24 and 25 where he meet the State chief minister, Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu at his officials residence and also visited Assam Rifles Garrison, Zakhama, and Chakhabama military stations to review the security situation.

A Security Force press statement said, during the two-days visit to the State capital, the General Officer Commanding called on the chief minister Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu on March 25. It said the dignitaries had discussions on wide ranging issues during the interaction. It said the chief minister conveyed his appreciation for the work being done by the Security Forces towards maintaining peace and tranquillity in the State.

The General Officer Commanding assured the chief minister that the security forces will continue to maintain strict vigil in order to keep the security situation under control.

The Corps Commander also interacted with officers and troops of the security forces and complimented them for their dedication and devotion to duty. He urged them to continue to perform their duties in a dedicated manner.
