The Chief Minister of Nagaland TR Zeliang has congratulated Veseyie Koso, Keneileno Nakhro and coach Holshe Khrieo for being selected from Nagaland to represent the Indian men and women sepaktakraw team at the 17th Asian Games Incheon 2014, Korea.
The selection of Veseyie Koso and Keneileno Nakhro, who have participated in several national and international events and had brought laurels to the state by winning medals, by the Sepaktakraw Federation of India to participate at the Asian Games is a clear indication of their excellence in the sport, stated TR Zeliang in a congratulatory note.
The chief minister also expressed his hope that they will do their best and shine in the forthcoming Games and further, on behalf of the State Government, assured all possible support and wished them the very best.
The chief minister also, in the letter addressed to the President, Nagaland Sepaktakraw Association (NSA), conveyed his appreciation to all the members of NSA for their efforts in promoting the game and harnessing the talent of the youth to excel in the game.
The association has led the state team to participate in various national championships and has produced eleven international players. Mentioning that the highest recipients of State Cash Award in the state has been from sepaktakraw, the chief minister added that it is most encouraging and should motivate the youth in other disciplines as well.
He also wished the association the very best in all their future endeavour.
