Dimapur, Dec. 20 (EMN): Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio condoled the demise of Justice Zelre Angami, retired judge of Gauhati High Court, who passed away on Tuesday.
Rio said that Zelre was a ‘sincere, diligent, honest and knowledgeable man’ respected by all. He served the government of Nagaland in various capacities with dedication and excellence, he said.
“He always advocated the performance of duty with integrity and justice, and expected the same from his colleagues and subordinates.
“In his demise we have lost one of the most versatile members of the legal fraternity. The emptiness created by his passing away will be immensely felt by all. Indeed, he will be dearly missed. However, let us celebrate his life by treasuring the wonderful legacy he has left behind,” Rio shared.
He further conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family members in their hour of grief.
“ It is our earnest prayer that Almighty God will give them courage and comfort to bear the irreparable loss,” he added.
