[dropcap]I[/dropcap]n collaboration with the Nyamo Lotha Road Business Owners’ Association of Dimapur, local community group Sant Nirankari Mission of Dimapur on Sunday organized a cleanliness drive along the Nyamo Lotha Road
Administrator of Dimapur Municipal Council H. Atokhe Aye ‘declared’ the activity ‘open’ the organizers informed in a note issued on Tuesday.Aye lauded the association and Sant Nirankari Mission for working together to clean the main commercial area of Dimapur. He said the ongoing clearing work on drainages in the town was ‘in line’ with the second phase of developmental activities being taken up by the council.
The DMC chief encouraged them to continue with their yeoman service in the interest of the people. He also appealed to all sections of the people in Dimapur to cooperate with the council to make developmental activities a success.
Also, representatives of Sant Nirankari Mission said that their objective was not only to maintain cleanliness in ‘towns, streets, villages and the country but to encourage a green environment.’
