Dimapur, November 29 : The Dimapur Area Ao Baptist Pastors’ Fellowship (DAABPF) has expressed solidarity with community organizations for providing timely leadership and example in initiating the Clean Election movement in Nagaland.

The group issued a note on Tuesday appreciating Diezephe Village Council for taking the bold step of deleting all bogus and proxy names from the electoral roll; the Nagaland Baptist Church Council for launching the Clean Election campaign; the Langpangkong Range Students’ Conference for initiating the campaign; editors representing the newspapers in Nagaland state, for resolving to refrain from publishing any information that contradicts the objectives of Clean Elections in Nagaland and the principle of ‘one person-one vote’; Aoyimti village (council, church, Lanur Telongjem, Watsu etc.) for the formation of Aoyimti Clean Election Action Committee.
“We are also deeply grateful to Against Corruption and Unabated Taxation (ACAUT) for their dedication and tireless effort in challenging all the Nagas to come together and work for a corrupt-free society,” the pastors stated.

The DAABPF expressed optimism that the role models would go a long way in bringing transformation to the state. ‘It is our fervent hope and prayer that the Almighty God will continue to empower and bless the mission of Clean Election,’ they stated and appealed to the people of Nagaland to make the dream of clean elections a reality.
