Dimapur, Dec. 14 (EMN): Advisor of Land Resource, CL John, on December 13 inaugurated the newly recognised Chenloisho Longkhao village in Mon district.
A DIPR reports stated that the advisor took the salute from the Village Guards and unveiled the monolith.
John, in his address, thanked the Nagaland government and chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, for granting the long-awaited dream of the people of Chenloisho Longkhao village. He urged the citizens of the newly recognised village to live in peace and respect neighboring villages and their parent village.
He pointed out that people’s contribution and cooperation are necessary for growth and development of the village. He, therefore, urged the youngsters to avoid substances which are harmful and could damage the society in the long run. John further encouraged the villagers to cultivate habit of hard work, sincerity and honesty.
A short speech was delivered by Yamao on behalf of RD Mon, while the president of KU Chen unit, S Wenkang, chaired the programme.
Meanwhile, the advisor also inaugurated the newly-upgraded primary health centre at Chenloisho, and newly-created health sub-centre in Chenloisho Wangto village.
Quoting an old adage ‘Health is wealth,’ he called upon the villagers, civil societies, church members and citizens to cooperate with the health staff for the welfare of the people.
While reminding that ‘church and the health centre are connected,’ he stated that church is a spiritual healing centre and health centre is a physical healing centre.
Dr. Neiphrezo, SMO of Aboi, who spoke on behalf of Health and Family Welfare department, said community participant is very important for smooth functioning of health services.
